Pakistan is facing a political crisis. The country's prime minister, Imran Khan, faced a no-confidence vote in Parliament this weekend that he was set to lose. It would have effectively kicked him out of office... So Khan sought to dissolve the legislature while the deputy speaker – a member of his own party – stopped the vote.

The country is in constitutional turmoil and it's unclear how this will play out. Here's a closer look at the man fighting for his political future.

In Colombia, a 2016 peace deal between the government and leftwing FARC guerillas raised hope that half of a century of armed conflict would finally be over. But violence has flared again recently. FARC dissidents, drug trafficking groups and right-wing paramilitaries are all fighting to gain control of lucrative markets - like narcotics and illegal mining.

DW's Johan Ramirez traveled to the western Cauca region to look into the government's claim that the security forces have everything under control.

Police in Germany have arrested 25 people who are accused of plotting to overthrow the government.

A group of far-right and ex-military figures are said to have prepared for a "Day X" to storm the Reichstag parliament building in Berlin, and seize power.

It is alleged a minor aristocrat, a judge, and military personnel were among those arrested, as 150 police operations were carried out in 11 of Germany’s 16 states.

The plotters are also said to include members of the extremist Reichsbürger [Citizens of the Reich] movement, and the QAnon movement.

Rev. Eric Garbison, Co-founder of Cherith Brook Catholic Worker House

The Catholic Worker Movement is one of many grassroots communities that recognize that in fighting poverty we must address what Dorothy Day called, "This filthy rotten system." We will discuss how solidarity work differs from charity because it centers the voices of people who are directly impacted by racism and poverty.

Rev. Eric Garbison

When you hear the term nonprofit, the first thing that typically comes to mind is a charity, or 501(c)(3) organization. That’s for good reason, since roughly 78% of all tax-exempt organizations are exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3). The remaining 22% consists mostly of social welfare nonprofits, business leagues, and social/recreation clubs, plus about 24 less-voluminous possibilities.

But what does it mean to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit? What sets a 501(c)(3) apart from the other categories of nonprofits out there? In a phrase: charitable purpose.

About K-City Family:
We are constantly finding new adventures and ways to spend time together through laughter, gaming, challenges and traveling the world together.

Originally known as KidCity, we’ve been producing family-based content on Youtube and other social media for over 7 years, and we’re still having a blast! We’ve recently laid the foundation for many more years of new content through a rebrand to K-City. It was inevitable - we had to grow up! On things has not changed: we've always strived to model a healthy family and home that loves God and each other with everything we've got!

During the presidency of Lula Da Silva, billions of dollars in bribes were taken to allow construction companies to overcharge the government-owned oil company, Petrobras. Now, Brazil has corruption, but it's actually pretty good for a developing country. But the people of Brazil have come to expect more, and they have been left down.

Current president, Dilma Rousseff, was chairwoman of Petrobras during the period of corruption, but no one knows whether Lula or Dilma were involved or aware. But Lula was under investigation before Rousseff appointed him to be her chief of staff, a move that means he can no longer be prosecuted by a normal court.

I think this whole thing speaks very highly of Brazil. A reckoning had to come, and I'm pleased the citizens are holding the government accountable. However, I can't stop seeing parallels between the awful partisan situation here in the U.S. and the lack of skepticism people in this story have when it comes to believing awful things about their political opponents.

Using this scandal to clean up Brazil must be done, but using it to score political points or gain power is going to rip the country apart.

This is an epic story, and no one knows where it ends. Whether Rousseff retains power and who gets elected once the house is fully cleaned out will say a lot about how this very young democracy handles its economic and cultural growth when people's perceptions are controlled largely by social media.

I think there are many good things in Brazil's future, but leaders will have to do more than fight for power. They will have to actually lead.
